Job Type: Part-Time Library-Teachers' Pension

Non-exempt; part-time; 18 hours per week; scheduled varied workdays and hours that include daytime, weekday evenings and weekends (both days) during FCPL operating schedule, participation in the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System; position subject to system-wide reassignment

  • Urbana Regional Library
  • C. Burr Artz Library

This clerical position performs responsible duties related to all operations of an FCPL circulation desk and the automated circulation system. A significant amount of public contact is involved; therefore courteous, proficient customer relations skills are vital. Direction may be received from the Senior Circulation Clerk; supervision is received from the Circulation Services Supervisor and/or Branch Administrator

This professional managerial and supervisory position is responsible for the general operation and management of the Urbana Regional Library, and for ensuring the delivery of quality library service to the public. Direct supervision is given to department supervisors of Children's Services, Teen Services, Circulation Services, and the Assistant Branch Administrator. Supervision is received from the Branch Services Manager.

NOTE: The upper pay range reflects possible wage rates for internal County transfers and promotions. For transfers and promotions, wage rates are calculated per County policy.
