Bookmobiles

Serving Frederick County citizens for over 45 years, the Bookmobile is the traveling branch of Frederick County Public Libraries. It goes to where the people are, taking library services to communities and senior citizen facilities that are underserved by branch libraries. The Bookmobile schedule repeats on a 2-week basis and includes stops with evening hours. Materials of all kinds are available:

The Early Start Bookmobile serves Frederick County children and youth who might not have the opportunity to visit the library regularly. We work with organizations to bring literacy resources to children who are considered at-risk and who are served by government-sponsored programs or non-profit educational agencies with little or no access to library services.

The FCPL bookmobile open to the public is the Community Bookmobile.
